No manual or paddle shifter in the Ecoboost today. For me, that makes this an average car.

In my region with current discounts and finance rates, a fully loaded 2024 GT 401A with Performance Pack AND Magneride is over $25k less than a base Dark Horse after taxes AND interest (600A without the track pack so same MR and tires as GT PP). The GT has employee pricing and lower rates now where as the DH is still at MSRP with higher interest rates. Absolutely insane. A local dealer has five on the lot which have been there for at least 6 months.

nah bro the dark horse sounds much louder than that, there are better vids to here the sound, its much better than the gt350

Very nice. I just upgraded my GT PP to a 21 Mach 1 and can't wait to try it out on the back roads... We have lots like that here in East TN..

I can't set the mustang status to my information screen with my profile. it will disappear after I shut the car off, also the shift indicator will turn off each time. Is there a way to save those setting with my profile or my screen just messed up??

I got the 10 speed auto for many reasons. The traffic where I live is brutal during rush hour. Many times I have taken half an hour to go one mile. Also, the 10 speed is MUCH quicker. This is important when some BMW or Audi pulls up next to me at a red light, and just across the intersection, two lanes merge into one. It means I have a better chance of keeping them behind me when the light turns green. I never go on a racetrack, but I do live in an area heavily infested with modified imports. I mainly want a fun cruiser that gets off the line quickly. So, even though I have owned several manual cars in the past, I went with the 10 speed auto, and I haven't regretted it for a second.

In my opinion, the right ecoboost engine would be 2.7 liter V6 Ecoboost which would sound greater than 2.3 EB and be a better fit to a pony car. Why Ford did not use that engine? I have nothing to say for 2.3 EB performance-vise (315 hp is more than enough) but V6 (or I6) and V8s are the only type of engines that a Mustang deserves.

Man this was so therapeutic. Honestly wish more roads like these existed in the midwest. It's literally straight lines out here which is so painful, especially given my ideal build is so heavily influenced by how Japanese folks tune and modify their cars (in terms of philosophy I mean).

Inspiring looks like a hell of a cruise…. This type of driving is the reason why I bought my Dark Horse over a regular GT… I’ve had my car for 9 months but haven’t been a a exciting cruise like this one yet… Got an idea round up some other Dark Horses locally and let go for a cruise!

I really want to go for manual but here in Australia they already come expensive and i don’t want to risk it as i have heard mt82 transmission glitches.I wish GT had TREMEC

The Dark Horse sound great but GT350 sound is freaking awesome.

Is this stock because we all know that headers and h-pipe x pipe or even a straight pipe Muffler deletes and maybe even exhaust tips can make a difference in the sound

My wife has AWE exhaust on her 22 GT. Best sounding exhaust on the 5.0’s. No raspiness. Just power. Wish they’d make exhaust for me 6.6 gas truck.

Love finding good videos like this. Ordered my 2025 gt premium 14 days ago! Carbonized grey metallic with matte film wrap, performance pack, nite pony package, magneride, active exhaust, red calipers. So pumped to give this a try when I get it

What about the features? What features are you missing out on when you go for the manual? I know the adaptive cruise control with stop and go is only adaptive cruise, and I know you don’t get the lane centering, only the lane keeping. What other features? I feel like those are important.

Picked up a "used" DH with 598 miles on it about 3 weeks ago as a weekend car. I'm already at 1200 miles and I don't want to stop driving it! I absolutely love almost everything about it. I'm a little concerned about the reliability of the big screen after about 10 years, but we'll see.

Had all manual stangs in the past going back to 1985. Just bought a new 2024 GT with the 10-speed auto. As I get older, I realize that the auto is easier to live with all around. And it's really fun to paddle shift up and down the auto trans shifts fast, and rev matches on the down shift also. It's fun, no regrets here!

I’m really torn. Had a 2014 7 speed C7 and I got tired of shifting. Went with an auto 2016 challenger and after a while I missed the 7 speed but that auto sure was fun to just hammer on it and get down the road. I’m not going to be tracking the mustang when I get one… going with a convertible w/ performance package. I’m maybe leaning towards the 6 speed I think. I live where there are some good curvy country roads, I bet the 6 speed vert would be a blast.

Why is your car idling a little higher than normal? Towards the end of the video… nice tone.. almost as a gt500 idle note
